The natural travertine stone construction gives each piece its own small variations in tone and grain, so no two are quite identical. Day to day, what you notice is not the lamp so much as what it does to the room around it. Layering it against an overhead fitting gives a room two settings instead of one, which is usually the difference between a space you sit in and one you pass through. Every piece is checked before it leaves us, and the finish is inspected for consistency of tone and texture. Small differences in grain and tone between individual pieces are expected and are not considered defects. Clean with a soft dry cloth, avoid solvents, and site the lamp on a flat surface where it will not be knocked. Switch it off at the socket before changing a bulb, and let it cool first.

Texture You Can Feel
This is a base you run a hand over, which is unusual and rather good in a table lamp.
A natural limestone formed by mineral springs, with a warm tone and characteristic pitted banding. It has been used in architecture for thousands of years.
The character will, though the exact banding is unique to your piece. That is the nature of real stone.
Dust it dry and wipe with a barely damp cloth. Keep acidic cleaners away from the surface.
Stone gives it real weight and a low centre of gravity, so it sits firmly wherever you put it.
A warm white LED within the rating on the fitting, which brings out the warmth in the stone.
