Boxwood carries an older, warmer look than modern pale timbers, so the table feels inherited rather than bought.
Turned Detail On The Base
The base is turned on a lathe, which is a slower way to make a leg and the reason the profile looks this good.
A Patina That Improves
Handled wood develops a sheen no factory finish can copy. This one is built to earn it.
It is a new piece built in a vintage manner, with turned detailing and a warm boxwood finish. You get the character without the wobble of an old table.
The leg is shaped on a lathe as it spins, which is how the curved profile is cut. It takes longer than a straight leg and looks considerably better.
