Every part of it has a job; nothing was added simply to fill space or to chase a passing look.

Small differences in tone, grain and weave between individual pieces are normal for natural materials and are not considered defects. Vacuum on a low setting without a beater bar, rotate it periodically, and blot spills rather than rubbing them. On smooth or polished floors, pair it with a non-slip underlay and keep the edges flat so it does not become a trip hazard in a busy doorway or hallway. Each piece is checked over before it leaves us, from the finish through to the fittings.
