Every piece is checked before it leaves us, and the finish is inspected for consistency of tone and texture. Small differences in grain and tone between individual pieces are expected and are not considered defects. Wipe the surfaces with a dry or barely damp cloth and keep the lamp on a level, stable surface away from the edge. Switch it off at the socket before changing a bulb, and let it cool first.
